• The Ode card from Health Service Discounts is an additional benefit we offer to our members on top of our incredible deals and discounts. The Ode card is a prepaid VISA card that allows you to shop online or in-store at the places you love, just like a regular contactless debit card.

  It is entirely free to sign up, and as an Ode cardholder, you can shop at qualifying retailers and earn up to 12% cashback on your purchase. Also, the Ode card is Money Saving Expert’s top prepaid card, so you’re in safe hands with Ode.

• Signing up for the Ode card couldn’t be easier. Once you have completed the registration process, your Ode card will be sent to you in the mail. From here, all you need to do is follow the activation steps provided then your Ode card will be ready for use.

  You will be required to provide an initial top-up of £5 when registering your Ode card.

  Please note that the £5 top-up is credited to your card for you to spend. Once the registration process has been completed and the initial top-up has been paid, the top-up minimum will be £10, and the maximum will be £1,000. So how do you top up your Ode card? It’s easy. Simply head over to your online account at https://www.spree-card.com/DCHSPR/Home/Login

  Alternatively, you can download the Spree App to top up and manage your card. The Spree app is available via the App Store and Google Store.

• With the Ode card, our members can shop at their favourite stores, track cashback earned, and budget their monthly finances. You give at work, so why not start winning at life with Ode?

  If you are a Health Service Discounts cashback cardholder, you may have noticed that it has been rebranded to “Ode Card”. As an existing cashback cardholder, you do not need to worry, as the cashback card you know and love will work the same.

  The card will have already changed in your Apple Wallet and Google Pay. Also, we will be sending you a shiny new Ode Card when your existing cashback card expires...but if you can’t wait, all you need to do is order a brand new Ode card for £2.99 per card.

• Those who work in the health sector can apply for an Ode card and earn cashback when shopping at qualifying retailers - providing they have a registered health sector email account.

• Unfortunately, the Ode card is not available to retired members of staff at this current time. This is due to existing supplier agreements. Please note that we are working hard on this and hope to include retired members of staff in the future.

• If you work within the health sector and have a current work email address, you can sign up and start earning cashback once you are in receipt of the card.

• You will need a valid/current work email address to sign up. If you don't have an email address but work within the health sector, please reach out and contact your HR or IT department to obtain one. That way, you can sign up.

• There are no fees to pay for the first 12 months. However, once the first 12 months has passed, there will be an annual fee of £2.99 per card. The fee will be taken automatically from your card.

  Please note that an initial top-up of £5 will be required when registering.

• Absolutely. You can get an additional card with the same benefits. Your partner or anyone in the same household aged 13 or over can get the card.

• When you get an additional card, both cards are sent separately, but both cards will be registered to the same account, and both account holders can add funds.

• A credit check will not be carried out when signing up for the Ode card. However, please note that in order to conduct appropriate anti-fraud checks, we may use your personal information. Any personal information provided may be disclosed to a fraud prevention agency or credit reference who may record the information.

• A KYC (Know Your Customer) is a process carried out to verify our members' identity. This information is used to facilitate compliance with Anti-Money Laundering laws (AML) - a process that allows us to protect our system from accidentally facilitating criminal activity.

• You can use your Ode card in any store (both online and in-store) that displays the Visa Acceptance mark – which is over 36 million retailers worldwide. The Ode card can be used like any other Visa debit card, but the only difference is you can earn cashback when shopping at qualifying retailers.

• No – there are no transaction costs involved with the Ode card when used in the UK. However, some fees may apply if you plan on using the card outside of the UK. Check out our Terms and Conditions to learn more.

• You can use our cashback card when shopping online and instore. However, please note that some of our partners do not provide cashback when shopping online

• To earn cashback at qualifying stores, you must ensure that the Ode card is topped up with funds. Then, simply shop at a qualifying retailer to earn up to 12% cashback.

  The cashback you earn will be automatically credited to your account, and it will take to 5-7 days for your cashback purchases to be processed. The only exception is Sainsbury's. Due to their calculation cashback process, it can often take 3-5 weeks for cashback to be credited.

  We will always credit your account as soon as we are informed of any cashback earned – where possible. Once cashback has been credited to your account, it will be added to your available balance.

• Yes, you will still earn loyalty points. When you use the Ode card to shop, you can still acquire loyalty points – just like you would when shopping with a Visa Debit card. However, when you shop at qualifying retailers, you can also earn up to 12% cashback.

• Unfortunately, the Ode card cannot be used to make cash withdrawals from ATM's. Also, it cannot be used to purchase foreign currency, cash advances or for cash back at the till.

• The Ode Card cannot be used for gambling or adult websites. If you would like to learn more about the restrictions associated with the card, please head on over to our Terms and Conditions.

• Unfortunately, you cannot earn cashback when buying petrol and non-petrol items sold at petrol stations.

• Sometimes, we may add or remove partners, but we intend to provide a comprehensive range of outlets. You can head over to the Ode Hub to check on up-to-date listings and cashback rates.

• Should you happen to forget your PIN, you can request a PIN reminder through your online Account details tab. Also, you can call 01908 303564 and select option 4 for 'forgotten PIN.' A PIN reminder will be sent via SMS if requested via the Spree App.

• If your card is stolen or lost, please notify the Ode card support team immediately. You can call them on 01908 303564. Press option 3 for 'lost and stolen'. You can also head over to the Spree App where you can instantly block your card – this will prevent any further spend on your account.

• Once you have completed the registration process; you can access your account online 24/7. You will be required to use your login details (the ones you used in the registration process) to access your account.

• There are several ways you can top up your Ode card. Firstly, you can head over to your online account at https://www.spree-card.com/HSDSPR/Home/Loginto top-up your card.

  Alternatively, you can download the Spree App and top up your card. The Spree App can be used for top-ups, viewing your statement, looking at any cashback that has been earned, and it can be used in emergencies. I.e., blocking a lost or stolen card.

• It is absolutely FREE to top up your Ode card. However, we would strongly recommend that you set up a regular payment from your debit card. This way, you know that your card is being regularly topped up, taking away the hassle.

• To earn cashback, all you need to do is ensure there are sufficient funds on your account. There are no minimum spends or amounts required.
