Automotive Primers 101: How to Prep and Prime Metal and Plastic Surfaces

Before you use car paint, it's important to use an automotive primer to prep the surface and ensure a smooth, final topcoat. Selecting the right primer will depend on your project needs and whether the surface is metal or plastic.

In this video, Pete Gonzales and TJ Zizzo will show you how to prep and prime metal and plastic surfaces using a variety of Rust-Oleum automotive primers and help choose the primer that is best for your project.
