The Zoo is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Tickets are sold from 09:00 to 16:30 daily and the Zoo closes at 17:30.

FILMING

VENUE HIRE FEES
Flamingo Terrace
Semi-enclosed venue, large dance floor area, two buffet stations. 100 to 500 guests.
Booking fee: R20 000 per day
The Mandrill
Built-in bar area, large dance floor, buffet station, permanent art displays. 30 guests.
Booking fee: R2 500 per day
Elephant Indaba
Historic elephant house, overlooking the elephant enclosure, lovely for wedding ceremonies. 30 guests.
Booking fee: R3 000 per day
The Waterhole
Accommodate 100 to 150 guests. A lovely chapel, brides dressing room and honeymoon suite are additional venues attached to the Waterhole – the perfect wedding setting.
The Chapel seats 200 guests; venue hire does not include flowers or candles. The Honeymoon Suite includes a complimentary tea and coffee service, light continental breakfast the next morning. Check-out time is 10h00.

The Hippo Lapa and Farm lapa
Thatched lapa overlooking the hippo enclosure and waterfall, open-air venue. It is not available on Saturdays and Sundays. 80 guests.
Booking fee: R3 000 per day
Picnic area (Sundays only from 10h00 -17h00)
Minimum payable, for groups with maximum of 500 people. 501 and above will pay R50.00pp at the gate.
