Once the sole province of luxury vehicles, the panoramic sunroof is now available on many more affordable vehicles, including a range of SUVs. Sorting through every manufacturer’s website to find out which models offers panoramic sunroof and how much it costs to add the option to each base vehicle is a tedious and time-consuming process. Fortunately, we’ve already done it for you.
To keep this list as relevant to the typical new SUV shopper as possible, we’ve put a cap on list prices at $40,000, not including tax, title, licensing, or destination fees. If the panoramic glass roof isn’t standard on all trim levels of a given vehicle, we’ve included the price of the trim level required to fit the panoramic roof, as well as any individual cost for the option, whether as a standalone feature or as part of a package.
It’s also important to note that there are other affordable SUVs that offer sunroofs, or even multiple individual sunroofs over each row, but this list is solely for the SUVs that offer a glass roof that spans multiple rows.
1. 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $28,635
The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer retail site currently offers the $1,770 Sun and Liftgate Package only on the Trailblazer Activ and higher-level trims. It requires the addition of either the Driver Confidence Package (with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change alert, $345) or the Confidence II Package (rear park assist, $145). 2. 2023 Subaru Forester
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $29,695
A power panoramic sunroof is included with every 2023 Subaru Forester above the base level trim, meaning the cheapest way to get a big glass roof in a Forester is to choose the $29,695 Forester Premium. See 2023 Subaru Forester models for sale near you
3. 2023 Volkswagen Taos
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $30,125
You don’t have to choose any crazy combination of packages and trims to get your panoramic sunroof with the 2023 Volkswagen Taos. All you have to do is choose the mid-level Taos SE and add the $1,200 standalone panoramic sunroof option, for a total MSRP, or manufacturer’s suggested retail price, of $30,125. 4. 2023 Chevrolet Equinox
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $30,940
To get a big glass roof with the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox, just choose the LT trim level, and select the Panoramic power sunroof option ($1,645). That option requires you to add the roof-mounted side rails and the Confidence & Convenience package ($1,595), at a total cost of $3,240 over the Equinox LT’s starting price. 5. 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $31,780

6. 2023 Ford Escape
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $31,935

7. 2023 Buick Encore GX
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $32,000
While the 2024 Buick Encore GX is already available on Buick’s retail site, the 2023 model is also still being sold new. The 2024 Encore GX also offers a panoramic sunroof option, even on the base model, but pricing hasn’t yet been fixed. The 2023 Encore GX only offers the sunroof option as part of the $1,500 Experience Buick Package with the topline Essence trim level. That package also adds 18-inch alloy wheels with chrome inserts. 8. 2023 Nissan Rogue
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $32,110
The 2023 Nissan Rogue is a generation beyond the value-oriented Rogue Sport, but it still offers tremendous value, even when fitted with a panoramic sunroof as part of the $2,660 SV Premium Package. 9. 2023 Kia Sportage
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $32,590
Getting the least expensive 2023 Kia Sportage with a panoramic sunroof is as easy as choosing the $31,090 X-Line AWD trim and ticking the box for the $1,500 Premium Package, which adds the sunroof as well as LED interior lighting, dual illuminated sun visors, and a smart power liftgate, for a total price of $32,590, not including fees. 10. 2023 Mazda CX-50
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $32,690
The 2023 Mazda CX-50 2.5 S Preferred Plus is the jumping-off point for panoramic sunroof availability in the CX-50 lineup, and the panoramic sunroof is included with the trim selection — no additional packages or options are required. 11. 2023 Jeep Renegade
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $32,915
The 2023 Jeep Renegade offers a panoramic glass sunroof on every trim level, from the base Latitude up through the range-topping Limited. On the Latitude, you have to add the Sun and Sound Group ($2,595) to get the panoramic sunroof bundled with a premium audio system. You’re also required to select the Premium Group package ($2,470), which adds luxuries like heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power driver lumbar adjust, LED interior lighting, and more. 12. 2023 Hyundai Tucson
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $33,775
To get the 2023 Hyundai Tucson with the panoramic sunroof, look for the N Line ($33,775) or Limited ($36,160) trim levels. It isn’t available in the SE or SEL.
However, for the best value, we’d recommend shopping for the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. The panoramic sunroof is standard from the mid-range SEL Convenience level and higher. 13. 2023 Kia Sorento
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $33,890
The 2023 Kia Sorento is well-equipped even in base form, but you’ll have to go up one tier from there to get access to the $1,300 power panoramic sunroof option on the Sorento S. 14. 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $35,895
If you are looking for a compact SUV with three rows of seats, the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander is one of your few choices. The Outlander was all-new just last year and is a huge improvement over the previous model. To get the panoramic sunroof, shop for the SEL Black Edition. This trim level comes very well-equipped, with features including a 12.3-inch driver display, heated front and rear leather seats, and 3-zone automatic climate control. With the 2023 Audi Q3, the panoramic sunroof is included with all models. The Toyota RAV4 is the best-selling SUV in America, thanks in no small part to its versatility, reputation for reliability, and excellent resale value. To get the RAV4 with a panoramic glass roof, opt for the Limited and add the $2,540 Limited Grade Advanced Technology Package with Options. 19. 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport
Price with Panoramic Sunroof: $39,830
Just squeaking in under our $40,000 price cap is the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. This is essentially the 2-row version of the Atlas midsize SUV. The 5-seat Cross Sport has stylish looks, a roomy cabin, and loads of space for cargo.
