Ned is a fictional character of Twenty One Pilots that was created by lead singer Tyler Joseph. He resembles a furry creature with antlers, big black eyes, and a fat belly. As stated in an interview, Ned represents Tyler's creativity.
Appearances[]
He first appeared in the music video for "Chlorine" and fans grew to love his character. He briefly returned in the music video for "The Hype" and even got his own pop up merchandise shop in Columbus, Ohio called Ned's Bayou. Since then he has made many cameos on the band visual media, including the live performance of "Level of Concern", which he appears quite bigger than in his first appearance on the "Chlorine" music video, and, more recently, in one of the short videos shown on television for the Level of Concern USB driver YouTube livestream, in which he appears briefly waving to the viewer. Ned is also featured in the music video for "The Outside", in which he helps Tyler. There are multiple Neds in the video sitting around a fire eating what seems to be soup. He also has a lot of his own merchandise including shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, socks, and even his own limited Funko Pop figure. He also appeared shortly in the music video for "Choker" on a sign that says “HAVE YOU SEEN HIM”. There was also a store in the music video for "Shy Away" named after him.
