Making your car louder is an easy way to show off your ride without putting out a lot of money. While some modifications like buying a new engine can cost a lot, you can also make your car louder with these free methods:
Remove the muffler. The muffler, well, muffles noise from your exhaust. Taking it off will instantly make your car much louder than it is right now.
Putting a hole in your exhaust system. If you don’t want to take off the muffler, you can drill a hole in the exhaust pipe before it reaches the muffler.
Unclog exhaust tubing. Sometimes gunk and dirt can get stuck in your exhaust pipe, mitigating the sounds you would otherwise hear. Clearing it out is a cheap, easy way to up the volume.
Hopefully, one of these methods will help. But remember that your insurance rate might increase when you modify your car. Before you make any changes, check with your provider to find out how it could impact your premium.
