I have a 2017 Honda Accord and I recently replaced the battery. Now when I start the car, the radio asks me for a code. How can I reset my Honda’s radio code so I can use it again?
Hold the radio power button for three to five seconds to reset a
Honda Accord
radio code. This should eliminate the need for a code.
You can also enter your radio code manually. This can usually be found printed on a sticker in your glove box that says “Anti-theft Code” or in your car’s owner manual.
To input your Honda Accord radio code:
Step 1: Turn your key to the on position, but don’t start the engine.
Step 2: Turn the radio on.
Step 3: After 10 seconds, turn the radio off.
Step 4: Press and hold the radio power button until the radio display turns on.
Step 5: If you see "Enter PIN", enter the anti-theft radio code using your radio’s preset buttons.
You can also locate your Honda Accord’s radio code using your car’s VIN and the radio serial number:
Step 1: Find your VIN stamped on the driver’s side door jamb.
Step 2: Press and hold radio presets 1 and 6.
Step 3: While holding the presets, turn the ignition to the ON position, but don’t turn on the car.
Step 4: After a few seconds, you’ll see a 10-digit number displayed—this is your radio’s serial number.
With VIN and serial number in hand, choose one of these options to retrieve your radio code:
Option 1: To retrieve your code, visit radio-navicode.honda.com and input the required information.
Option 2: Call Honda at 1-800-999-1009.
Option 3: Take your Accord to a Honda dealership.
