ThisPersonDoesNotExist.comis the newest creation in AI portraiture and it lets you create fake people with a single click.
NVIDIA released an AI that creates unrealistically believable people last year, and now this same technology is being used by an Uber software engineer to bring awareness of the technology to everyone.
The uber engineer, Phillip Wang, said, "I have decided to dig into my own pockets and raise some public awareness for this technology."
The way he did so was to create a website that creates a new AI face each time you refresh the page. That's really it.
Here are some of the faces we came up with.
The same AI-generated is never used again. So, each time you refresh the page you are getting an AI face from scratch. Each face is created "from a 512-dimensional vector."
Obviously, some of the photos are better and more realistic than others. In the above picture, the background looks distorted, the girl's hair looks like straw, and it looks like someone is practicing Photoshop for the first time.

The creator of this website also created ThisCatDoesNotExist.com, which depending upon how you look at it is either immensely more creepy or entirely more fun.
It is definitely not as advanced. Each picture is smaller and looks pixilated when we blew them up.
They also suffer from the same problems the AI-generated faces do, except more so.
It also created the next monstrosity, which looks like what a cat thinks it looks like if the cat were on hallucinogens.
