The Organic, Lesser-Known Skincare Brand Meghan Markle and I Are Obsessed With (1)

I would say beauty "bars" are the future when it comes to covetable treatments and services. First, there were the blowout bars (like Drybar), then came Botox bars, and now come facials. Boasting slick, in-and-out convenience not dissimilar to a mani or Starbucks run,Face Haus is offering a brand-new addition to the idea of on-the-go beauty treatment: top-tier facials, albeit with affordable price tags anda short time commitment. Most of the signature facials start at $65, with add-ons at a budget-friendly $10. And a couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to test-drive the service myself at the brand's newest location in Santa Monica. (For all you Californians, there are also Studio City, West Hollywood, and USC setups with another arriving in the South Bay this fall).

Walking in, I was immediately impressed by the aesthetic of the space (it's inspired by the modern, clean lines of Scandinaviandesign), and I walked out with the best glow I have ever had post-facial,truly—a statement, mind you, I don't make lightly. Not only that, but my all-around experience was so enjoyable; not rushed or amateur in the slightest. My esthetician, Jean Pelton, was a true ray of sunshine, and her skin-gifting know-how and sweet, comforting energy honestly soothed my soul and turned my week around.

After taking a look at my skin and talking about my concerns (mostly potential breakouts, acne-scarring, some congestions, etc.), we decided on theKeep Glowing Facial with two different add-on boosts—the Universal A-Peel and the Lip, Laugh, Love. What followed was magic, and once we had finished, I could barely contain my excitement at a) how great my skin looked and b) the new (to me) exciting products and brands Pelton had used on my face and thus introduced me to—one of which being Eminence Organic Skin Care.

Of course, I've heard wonderful things about Eminence, but I had never tried the line myself. Well, consider that changed. Though the entire line is fabulous and beloved by celebrities and estheticians alike, some of the brand's very best products have also become a part of my weekly skincare routine, as well. Plus, after doing some research, I found out Meghan Markle has also been vocal regarding her love for the organic skincare line. So, since both Markle and I have a respective collection of the best (AKA our favorite) products from the under-the-radar brand, I thought I'd gather all of our go-to picks in one royal flush of a roundup.

Keep scrolling for the best-of-the-best products from Eminence Organic, that truly take the crown when it comes to ritual and results.

While acting on Suits, Meghan Markle reportedly relied on Eminence—four products in particular—to keep her skin in tip-top shape for screentime. In fact, the brand had the chance to catch up with Markle, who took the time to share which products made her list of complexion necessities—starting with this masterful exfoliating wash.

Recommended for normal to oily skin types, the citrus blend cleanser contains an expert melding of fresh lime juice, silica, and grape-seed oil, and it helps rid the skin of impurities and leave behind a rejuvenated, ultra-clean glow.

Next up: One of the brand's iconic bestsellers, the Bamboo Firming Fluid. (For the record, Pelton also used this on me during my facial—it's dreamy!). I'd presume Markle loves it for its organic and 100% natural firming prowess. It's got a lineup of great ingredients like bamboo, coconut oil, coconut water, monoi, Swiss green apple stem cells, and the brand's Natural Retinol Alternative Complex, which contains chicory root oligosaccharides and tara tree.

For a surge of moisture, word on the street is Markle loves this coconut-infused moisturizer, which was formulated to enhance moisture, increase firmness, and tighten skin. That being said, in addition to skinfaves like vitamin C, shea butter, and grape-seed oil, coconut oil is the starring ingredient.

At the top of Markle's list of favorites is this divinelyscented body lotion spiked with SPF from zincoxide and octinoxate, and infused with ingredients like shea butter and vanilla. It keeps skin velvety soft during even the most doggedly hot days of summer.

During my session with Pelton, she actually used the brand's Coconut Milk Cleanser to emulsify my skin as the very first step. And while it smelled deliriously wonderful and felt hydrating and comforting atop my skin, I know the unruly habits of my pores and didn't want to commit to a coconut oil-infused concoction in the long run. (I wish it didn't trigger my acne, but alas, it does). Thus, I've swapped it out with this probiotic, skin-clearing elixir insteadand am obsessed with the results.

Award-winning and a perpetual best-seller, this exfoliating formula wasn't used on me during my facial. But Pelton did recommend it to me after our treatment as another great option for my weekly exfoliating efforts. Key ingredients include the obvious strawberry and rhubarb, alongside other organic skin-saving signatures like lactic acid, salicylic acid, rice, clay, and chickpea, and oat flours.

Essentially, this exfoliant pulls triple-action—it sops up excess oil, sloughs away glow-threatening collateral (aka dead skin cells), and imparts antioxidant-enriched radiance.

I would say theBlueberry Detox Firming Peel (used on both my face andmy lips) during the service was the highlight of my treatment, and I'm pretty sure, the main reason my skin had such an amazing glow post-facial. (Something even my fellow beauty editor and spa roommate Amanda Montell commented on when I walked through the door). Unfortunately, the peel isn't available for purchaseto the public and is reserved solely for professional use. So, in lieu, this delightfully swampy mask was recommended to me instead.

Just like the blueberry peel, this nourishing mask contains paprika and the brand's trademark BioComplex2. But in place of the former's berry juice galore, lactic acid, grape-seed oil, and pineapple extract lies the latter's honey, chaste berry, and extracts from hops, yucca, and flaxseed oil blend. The green mask is also an exceptional option if you're breakout-pronelike I am.

Warning: It gets warm, and your skin will be red, hot, and tingly for an hour or so after usage. In other words, I'd recommend solely delegating this one to your before-bed stash.

The second Pelton applied this luscious smelling mask on my face, I immediately asked her what it was. Seriously, it might be the most delectable thing to ever grace my face. It's a masterful mix of strawberry, rhubarb, shea butter, grape-seed oil, botanical hyaluronic acid, and last but not least, the brand's BioComplex2 starring antioxidants and alpha-lipoic acid. So yes, in addition to the obsession-forming scent, it also does some serious work on your skin.

One of the most magical parts of my facial at Face Haus was an add-on treatment I received called The Lip, Laugh, Love Boost—a two-step service for an affordable $10—which, I kid you not, delivered filler-esque results. (I should know; I have them). In fact, I was so obsessed with how good my lips look post-treatment that I contacted Face Haus to learn more about the service and how I could attempt to re-create the enchantment at home.

"First, a Blueberry Detox Firming Peel is applied," a press representative for the brand relayed to me. "It contains paprika oil that pulls blood to the surface of the skin, which plumps and stimulates collagen. The second step is a shea butter lip-plumping mask. The shea butter provides supreme moisture while hibiscus peptides smooth and improve fine lines around the mouth area."

So, to simulate the effect, I discovered the plumping masque. The masque includes luxe natural ingredients like paprika oil in addition to shea butter, avocado oil, peppermint, vitamins, aloe vera, papaya, and pomegranate. The mask is available in the epic lip trio set, which also features an exfoliator and a citrus balm.

To add a wash of stick-less sheen after the mask ritual, I go for a quick coating of this luscious-smelling balm (available in the lip trio above or in full size here), which is also infused with the aforementioned shea butter and hibiscus. Of course, the results will never be the same as the in-house treatment (trust me when I say the paprika-spiked blueberry peel it uses is out-of-this-world good), but in a pinch, this combo comes pretty darn close.
