Of this figure, 55,269 were outbound passengers, while 46,724 were inbound passengers.

To ensure safety, the PCG dispatched 4,102 personnel to Coast Guard districts and inspected 34 vessels and 804 motorbancas.

All PCG districts, stations, and sub-stations are on heightened alert from April 13 to 20 in preparation for the influx of port passengers.

For Holy Week and the summer season, the Philippine National Police (PNP) earlier announced the deployment of 40,000 personnel nationwide to ensure peace and order during holidays. The deployment will run until May 31.
