Steps to move your dashboards
- Go to Settings > Knowledge > User interface > Views.
- Filter the page by using the term, "splunk-dashboard-app" and click the search button.
- In the Actions column, click Move.
- Select the app you'd like to move your dashboard to from the App context: menu.
If you are an admin, you can go in Settings > User Interface> Views and after just select the account of the user that left. After that you just have to select Delete in Actions .

- Edit the exported JSON file to change the type property to TEMPLATE and save it.
- Import the updated JSON so that a new identifier is generated for the template. Either you keep the default state of the checkbox (cleared) and you do not select it.
