This indicator will blink when the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system is operating. This is normal and is an indication of the vehicle limiting wheel spin to control the traction. It may be felt or heard while driving the vehicle. Always use caution when driving on slippery surfaces such as rain, snow, or ice.

If the slip indicator or traction control stays on, it means there is a malfunction with this system. The most common problems are faulty abs wheel speed sensor or steering angle sensor may need to be reset.
