MOSCOW, Pa.— It’s not the fanciest medical practice — a converted beauty salon inside a home.

But it’s where dozens of people in this rural northeastern Pennsylvania community came when they felt sick or needed a regular checkup. They parked on a gravel driveway near a side entrance in the modest home tucked between a farm field and a trucking company. Many were older. Most lived nearby.
