Fatherhood is a privilege. As the head of the household, he’s the protector, the provider, the leader. Sometimes it’s hard to express to someone who has done so much how much they really mean to you. So today, we simply say “Happy Father’s Day”. Today, some of our Outlook friends tell us why they love their fathers.

I love my dad for so many reasons, but what stands out the most in my heart is the way he has always believed in me, supported me, guided me, and loved me unconditionally. He has always encouraged me to just be me and to not suppress who I am for anyone and that is more than I could have ever asked for in a father.

I love my dad for his quiet strength and all that he taught me. My father was my biggest inspiration, and every day I strive to be a little more like him. He always taught me that a good education was priceless and I know how much he sacrificed to ensure that each of his children had the building blocks needed for success. I am truly grateful to have had a father like him. I am thankful for all that he did and not a day goes by without some aspect of what he taught me being reflected in my actions. I miss him very much.

I love my dad because he chose to break the cycle of children in our family growing up without a father as he did. Basil Barnaby made my siblings and me his priority, making sure we were never in need. Being the only girl, he made sure I knew how a woman is to be treated, and groomed me into accepting nothing less. I grew up knowing chivalry as the norm. He treated me like a princess, which has shaped me into being some body's Queen. I love my dad!
