Morning traffic going slow? Have your co-pilot upload the presentation fast and take that conference call from the carpool lane thanks to your Hum× mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot.
You can turn on your Wi-Fi Hotspot right after you turn on your car, and yourhotspot stays active for up to 1 hour once your car has been turned off. You canpower your hotspot on and off at will, allowing you to control when you and yourpassengers can access Wi-Fi.
The Wi-Fi Hotspot is powered through the Hum× OBD Reader, which plugsinto your vehicle’s OBD Port. Looking for your Hum× Wi-Fi Network?Connect using the network name and temporary password found on the back of yourHum× Speaker. You can use the Hum App to change your network name andpassword at any time.

Do I need to be a Verizon Wireless customer to use Hum?
It depends on the Hum Product you are using.

In order to use the Hum× Wi-Fi feature, you will need to purchase datafrom Verizon Wireless.You have two options:
- You can add Hum× to your existing Verizon Wireless shareabledata plan. When you add Hum× to your Verizon Wireless shareabledata plan, your Wi-Fi Hotspot data is drawn from your overall VerizonWireless monthly data allowance.
- You also have the option to purchase Hum× on its own –without an existing Verizon Wireless data plan. 1GB of data will be includedwith your monthly subscription and additional data is available for purchaseat $10 per GB on an as-needed basis.
Hum+
You also do not need to be a Verizon Wireless customer to use Hum+. Simplypurchase the Hum+ equipment from a Verizon Wireless retail store, or aparticipating retailer, and download the Hum App to get started. -
How much cellular data does Hum use?
