Full Bank Membership (2024)

The Bank Only route applies to any applicant who is not permanently employed by an NHS Trust where NHS Professionals currently manage the Bank, and would like the flexibility of working in our other Trusts.

To become a full member of the NHSP Bank, you must complete a full registration, which you can start online today.

We screen your application to ensure you meet the basic membership criteria; e.g. you must have gained six months experience in the UK, within the last two years.

We also match your skills and availability with the shift demand of our Client Trusts – this helps to ensure there will be suitable shifts available to you when you’ve completed the process.

We then follow a rigorous recruitment process that is fully compliant with theNHS Employment Check Standards. The length of time it takes depends on:

  • Your availability to attend and complete the interview process
  • The time taken to receive your references and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks

We need your help to ensure the recruitment process runs as quickly and smoothly as possible throughout. The illustration below provides a detailed overview of our recruitment process.
