Escape From Tarkov's Anti-AFK Measure Seems to Work Fine, For Now (2)

In yesterday’s Escape From Tarkov update, Battlestate Games decided to introduce a brand new anti-AFK measure that combats inactivity, which indirectly seeks to lessen the pressure on the servers. This feature was inspired by the recent server turmoil, which cataclysm slowly started turning into a community backlash. Therefore, Battlestate Games had to do something about it.

It all started with just a queue mechanic, which allowed players to go back in the game, resulting in server breakdown and downtime. The new anti-AFK or IDLE addition was introduced shortly after to alleviate additional server bricking. Thanks to that, the queues are faster, hence smaller, with most players joining and having fun during their prime time.

The feature seems to do the job just a day after its implementation. The sad part is that it has to remain until the issues are resolved. Nevertheless, the massive popularity gained over this period is not the only reason for the server issues in Escape From Tarkov. As stated before, the servers are also being DDOS-ed, which makes it even harder for Battlestate Games to provide a solid gameplay experience for everyone.

We have installed a technical client update. The game will not stop. Please download the update via the launcher.
After 30 minutes of inactivity, players will now receive a warning and will be logged out automatically#EscapefromTarkov
