⌨ Virtual Remodeling and Redecorating Apps

Are you redecorating, sprucing up your spaces, or considering some renovations or major home improvements? Thanks to today’s technologies, you can do so from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. From kitchen design to simple upgrades and color changes, virtual remodeling and decorating are no longer something we look forward to in the future. The tools are available today. Most likely…There’s a smartphone app for that! I’ve got 20 suggestions for you.

Virtual reality and augmented reality are both tools that have enhanced the processes of construction, interior design, and home improvement industries. But VR and AR are not just available to large companies. These tools are accessible to you and me as we seek to visualize products in our homes.

Daniela Gonzalez, from Porch.com, has a helpful article explaining how you can use 3D visualization to transform your home through augmented reality. Augmented reality enables you to experience a digital object or space with any color, product, or image in the space. You can build floor plans, measure rooms, and consider color and fabric choices without dragging any piece of furniture around. The immersive shopping experience is all digital.

Big Brand Stores

It is now possible to view an amazing selection of decorating options by working with the free design software offered on many home-store websites. Home Depot, Lowes, IKEA, and other major retailers offer online visitors the opportunity to experiment with virtual remodeling and redecorating tools without ever leaving the comfort of their home or office chair.

1.The Home Depot Mobile App is a great tool to use “augmented reality” to see how a new door, faucet, appliance… or practically anything, will look on or in your home. And of course, you can snap a picture and share it with friends and family. The same principle applies when it comes to bathrooms, bedrooms, living and dining rooms. The software provides opportunities to create color palettes, save design schemes, and even order paint, floor coverings, and other products online.

2. On the IKEA website, several helpful tools are available for planning your rooms as well as your storage solutions. With most of the design groups and with major rooms, there is an “IKEA Kreativ” solution.

3. Lowe’shas free kitchen design services, for simple projects. Anything that gets somewhat complex will require a paid designer.
